I am an Emmy Award-winning news anchor with experience in a broad range of markets. I began my TV news career in one of the largest markets in the country, Chicago. There I learned how to switch gears on a dime, deliver breaking news and develop extraordinary content.

From there I enhanced my on-air skills, reporting and anchoring in several markets across the Midwest. I have covered stories that garnered national attention, like the tornado that devastated Harrisburg, Illinois in 2012. I also have a knack for turning local content into hard-hitting stories that leave an impression on the community. It's those stories that earned me 15 awards in the past three years.

I'm also an accomplished news anchor with an Emmy nomination for outstanding anchor in the Chicago NATAS market. My delivery in high pressure situations is something I pride myself on. I thrive during live shots, breaking news and instances that require ad-libbing. I'm arguably strongest on the anchor desk and will only improve the more I do it.

I became a journalist to make a difference in people's lives. I want to be a voice for the voiceless and I'm proud to say I've done that on numerous occasions. Nothing fulfills me in life more than my work.

Aside from journalism, I am proud to be a regular volunteer throughout my community. Community service is so important, and it’s one reason I was named by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce as one of Rockford’s “40 people you should know under 40”. I am also a graduate of the chamber’s Leadership Rockford program.
